Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge in Southern New Mexico, just south of Socoro, is one of the premiere windlife areas in the world. In late November, all of December and early January it is crowded with hundreds of thousands of Sandhill Cranes, Blue Herons and Snow Geese. People come from literally all over the world to see these beautiful birds in the gorgeous autumn colors of the Rio Grand Valley.
